We offer four different level of classes, depending on your level of Parkinson’s and your overall fitness.

People of all ages welcome. No boxing experience necessary.

NOTE: If this is your first Rock Steady Boxing class, please call to set up a time for your class assessment. You must partake in an assessment before your first Rock Steady Boxing class to determine which class you should be in.

Rocksteady Boxing is class specifically designed to help people battling Parkinson’s disease. The Sweet Science Boxing and Fitness’s Rocksteady is fun but challenging class! The first half of class focuses on developing strength, stamina, coordination, balance, and functional fitness while the second half of class uses boxing to reverse the effects of Parkinson’s disease. Boxing is extremely effective for Parkinson’s patients because throwing proper punches requires the use of the whole body, working people in a way that cannot be replicated though any other method. Our gym also utilizes a system of numbering each punch to make sure your mind is working with your body and both sides of the brain are activated.

We are unfortunately unable to accommodate people who are wheelchair bound, though people who use walkers are encouraged to come. We have truly seen miracles happen in class and know that nothing in life is impossible. Try our class take a huge step towards defeating Parkinson’s disease.
